Check your sugar: Check you sugar when you feel this way. If it is too high, you may be dehydrated. If it is too low, you may need to work with your doctor to change your medications. If it is normal, get a home blood pressure cuff and check that your blood pressure is normal. If not work with your doctor on getting it normal. Good : Good morning. I can't diagnose the cause of your lightheadedness. There can be a variety of different causes for this. Thus, there isn't a way to be able to tell you if it is due to your period. Things like feeling shaky, sweaty hands and lightheaded can be related to anxiey. I suggest that you hydrate well with water at least 8 - 8 ounces glasses of water per day, to ensure that you are not feeling dizzy due to dehydration. I would try not to let your fears get the best of you. If you do, you may make yourself progressively more anxious which could lead to more anxiety symptoms. I.E., it can become a vicious cycle.
If you feel lightheaded and it feels like the room is spinning around you or seems to be tilting that could be vertigo. If you are lightheaded and have a low grade fever or congestion that could be a virus starting up.
