See a doctor: With flu like symptoms and a rash, I would seek urgent evaluation. I would at least call your doctor or go to an Urgent Care center. When you say 'flu like' -those symptoms can include fever--so that is what has raised my alarm. There must be more to your history to help figure this out. Far and away the most common reason that they swell is that you have an infection in that area of your body-I.e. your skin,ear,throat,arm,etc. nearby.
