Causes Of Itchy Rash On Inner Thigh
Fungal, tinea cruris: Good evening, itchy rash on the inner thigh could be due to a fungal infection, tinea cruris, especially in a heavy-set person. There is no precise reason why it should appear only at night; probably, we are too busy during the daytime to pay attention to it. If it is due to a fungal infection, it may need specific creams to make it go away. Over-the-counter creams, though helpful, see a doctor.See 1 more doctor answer

May be fungus/yeast: It is very difficult to diagnose any kind of rash in genital area without looking at it. My guess is that it is a fungus or yeast infection. Try any antifungal like Monistat-derm. Follow the directions of using it properly and if not better in a week, see a Dermatologist if you can or see a family doctor.See 1 more doctor answer

Hives: This rash sounds like hives. Try taking a long-acting oral antihistamine like cetirizine or fexofenadine. Try an identify any triggers that could have caused the hives. If hives last a long time, it is likely not an environmental or food trigger. See your primary care physician or an allergist for further evaluation and management.

Allergy consult: The issue is complex and you should consult an allergist. Do realize that even though we can usually control the rash, not uncommonly no cause can be found despite exhaustive studies. In the meanwhile, try taking antihistamine 3 to 4 times a day to see if this may help. The dose needed for itchy skin is much higher than what is needed to control hay fever but even then it may not work.See 1 more doctor answer

A red itchy rash on the inner side of my leg near the groin area for over 1 month. It decreases when I take anti biotics. I want a permanent solution?
Erythrasma: I assume you used actual antibiotics and not antifungals. You could have Erythrasma which is a bacterial infection that just like fungus affects areas of moist skin. The rash may have well defined borders and may become brownish. Topical and sometimes oral antibiotics are necessary. Keeping the area dry is the way to prevent this.
