Causes Of Itching Penis
I have a bump on my penis, I only itch at night when I'm trying to sleep, and on occasion during the day. What is it? Its small and looks like a zit, I pop it and it bleeds but itches less then.
What does a low grade penile fungal infection look like and doesn't it along with dermatitis always have to cause itching on penis?
What are some things other than STDs that can cause itching in the penis? (sorry if this is inappropriate)
Pre Cancer: Fungal infection, dermatitis, allergic responses to clothing, allergies in general are most common. However, do not forget that venereal warts and precancerous skin conditions can also occur. Intraepithelial neoplasia, squamous cell cancer, paget's disease. Get it checked out. No STD...: ...causes penile itching, and most penile rashes are not STDs. Probably this is a garden variety skin problem that happens to involve the penis. However, if you're at risk for STDs (new or unsafe partner, etc), it would be reasonable to be checked for STDs. Your local health department or a Planned Parenthood clinic would be able to both test for STDs and check out the penile itch. Read more
May not be. ..: Itching in the penis & anal / peri-anal regions alone is not related with STDs. Instead, such itching is caused by some unclear reasons, recurs with widely variable degree, duration & interval. How to manage it? Unclear, but the following may be tried: avoid topical overly dryness or wetness and apply 05-1 % Hydrocortisone cream lightly to ease (not cure) the symptom. More doubt? See Doc timely. Read more
Ballanitis: A fungal infection under the foreskin. It is normal "yeast" from the women's vagina. It is naturally there but you have an overgrowth (probably due to recent antibiotics). I suggest use of Desenex powder for athlete's foot. It has corn starch to absorb moisture and some anti-fungal medication to control this normal growth. Or have a circumcision and never bother with it again. Read more
Can dehydration cause ramdom pain/itch shaft of penis? No UTI/STD. Pain off and on for year. Ultrasound clean. Pain sometimes radiates to left foot?
Not an STD: Dehydration would not do this. STDs must be on your mind, by your topic tags. But it doesn't sound like any STD. Intermittent symptoms ("random", "off and on") often are psychological. Most penile skin problems are standard dermatology problems that can occur anywhere but happen to involve the penis. But best to see a doctor at a time you're having symptoms; better safe than sorry. I am experiencing penile discharge, unpleasant smell, itching, penis head is very sensitive, dried smegma, white lumps, Ureaplasma urealyticum? Doxycy
STD? Balanitis?: Probably an STD, much more likely gonorrhea or chlamydia than Ureaplasma, which is a normal bacteria in the genital tract and rarely causes symptoms or disease of any kind. If uncircucised, this might be fungal or nonspecific balanitis, not an STD and might clear up with twice daily foreskin retraction and washing. Either way, you need professional exam and probably STD testing. Good luck! Read more
What could cause a rash (itches, burns, and sensitive) around the base of my boyfriend's penis after sex?
Dermatitis: Possible friction from sex can cause an irritation/inflammation of his skin, or he could be allergic to any lubricating gels or perfumes you may use. He may have an underlying minor tinea cruris (jock itch) that is getting aggrevated during/after sex. If persists, have him see a dr. To properly diagnose the area. Good luck. Read more
I have 7 to 8 pimples or bumbs on my penis. It itches and it's spreading. I am very much scared cause it's directly on my penis. Suggest medicine.
I hav several small ulcers on the bottom of foreskin of my penis, it itches from time to time, I have burning micturition, what can b the cause? Treatment
See a doctor: By far the main cause of penile sores is herpes, especially when several sores or blisters appear at once. And herpes sores can look like cuts. Or, with the itching, perhaps an allergic reaction or fungal infection. You'll need to see a doctor for proper diagnosis. Do it ASAP, the sooner the better for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment, especially if it's herpes. Good luck! Read more
