I read that 45-70% of adults with asthma also have GERD? What is the cause? My asthma is caused by allergies. Could GERD be cause by allergies?

What could cause random feeling of gagging through the day? I do have GERD and have had it since I was 9. Gagging feeling started about a month ago.
Gagging : although not certain, it is possible that the gagging you're experiencing could mean that your Gerd is not under good enough control. I would avoid particular foods that make your problem worse, cut back on caffeine and alcohol, quit smoking if you do, and consider tilting your bed.
