What is the cause of long follicular phase (26 days) but normal luteal? What problems could it cause or hide? Solution?

What are your goals?: The follicular phase varies from person to person. The luteal phase is consistently about 14 days. Instead of thinking about these phases determine your goals. If your goal is cycle regulation then birth control methods can help. If your goal is pregnancy then a home ovulation kit would help. Long follicullar phase but normal 14 day luteal phase. Is this ok? What causes long follicular phase what can i do? Always ovulate around cd 25

Keep body weigh down: Although premature death of the dominant follicle followed by replacement or follicular suppression are possible causes, the most common reason for long follicular phases in women is prolongation of the time from recruitment to emergence of the dominant follicle. This is most commonly seen in PCOS. You are ovulating and menstruating, so that is good. There is not much for you to do. ...Read more

My grand, Bella was 7 in Jan. For over 6months, she has had multiple lymph node swelling in neck, path showed follicular hyperplasia, what is cause?

Lymph node swelling: Lymph nodes are where the immune cells of the body process all the stimuli from various infectious and other foreign stimuli in our environment. In children these are very active areas as so many things are "new" to them. It is natural for these to swell and then subside. Only persistent enlargement is a cause for concern due to infection that isn't cleared, or neoplasia. ...Read more

What causes a follicular phase E2 level in the ovulation phase, or even luteal phase? proges is also low for the phase. how to treat please? not on BC

The ovary: Simplistically: Estrogen (E2) is produced during the follicular phase from the ovary in response to another hormone called FSH(follicle stimulating hormone). At mid cycle, ovulation occurs(now in the luteal phase)and progesterone starts to rise, and typically peaks midluteal phase. If you don't get pregnant, the E2 and Prog. levels fall, and you start your period. Then the whole cycle begins again! ...Read more

Scan shows the left ovary has a 3cm echogenic cyst, probably a haemorrhagic follicular cyst.
Will this cause infertility issues? Thank you.

It shouldn't: Hemorrhagic cysts are very common causes of pelvic pain, and not related to infertility. Also, your cyst is not large enough to typically cause ovarian torsion. You can get a repeat ultrasound six weeks later to show that the cyst is resolving. ...Read more

What causes unusal red watery periods besides preg and cysts? I have a 2.3 CM follicular cyst and hCG of 1 19 yrs old had regular periods for 4 yrs

Could be many things: Often, thin, watery periods are caused by poor blood quality or deficiencies in certain components of your blood. Watery periods can also be a sign of pregnancy, but you indicate your hcg is 1, which is negative. A cervical or vaginal infection can cause this, or it could be as simple as some hormone fluctuations which is definitely not uncommon. Stress and dietary changes could also be culprit. ...Read more

Cause of large, pale lingual tonsils touching epiglottis with yellow sticky mucus? Have follicular non-hodgkin's lymphoma -what else can cause this?

Tonsils: I suspect you mean the "regular" tonsils which are also called the pharyngeal tonsils. The lingual tonsils are at the base of the tongue and you wouldn't be able to see these yourself. They are both part of the Waldeyer's ring in the oropharynx. Lymphoma & carcinoma can certainly affect this area. Chronic tonsillitis and Mono are other infectious causes of tonsillar enlargement ...Read more
