Depends on:: Do you have epilepsy? Or you just curious about what happened as an adolescent? Doubt the flu shot caused the seizure, and certainly if you suffered further seizures, the events would be due to other causes. ...Read more

Had to stop prednisone after  3 days because of suicide ideation and focal seizures. Will stopping this suddenly like I did cause  headaches.BP 130/90?

NO: Prednisone raises the blood pressure and can cause headaches. You will see these symptoms improve after a day or so. The things you can expect from suddenly stopping are: worsening of the condition for which you were prescribed prednisone, weakness, fatigue, body aches, joint pain,nausea. After only 3 days these withdrawal symptoms will be less severe but you should be sure to let your doctorknow about your decision ...Read more

Slleeping pills: Some sleeping pills in strong enough doses can do this. However if no reurrence in 10 yrs, i would put any concerns on the back burner. Do not take same pills again. 4t0 6 % of children/adolescents can have abnormal eegs. There is a certain eeg pattern which could indicate future risk. More likely eeg non epileptic. ...Read more

Not epilepsy: What you describe is a sleep event of no consequence. The eeg was of no clinical value. Really no justification for chronic treatment. Certainly no reason for Dilantin now. ...Read more
