Can't digest lactose: Milk has lactose as it's sugar. Milk is a complete food for baby mammals, so it has fat, protein, sugar, etc... However, when you stop eating grains for a time and then add them back you are asking your gut to adjust too quickly to eating grains. Your experience is the norm rather than the exception. Possibly: If you don't eat correctly you may not have enough calories to prevent hypoglycemia, especially if you are a diabetic. If you don't have diabetes it's highly unlikely you would develop hypoglycemia which is quite rare. Food intolerances can cause a variety of different symptoms.
