What causes that falling backwards feeling after you take off high heels?

What causes that falling backwards feeling after you take off high heels?

Conditioning: When you wear high heels, especially for a long time, you are basically walking on your toes. When you take the heels off, your calf has to stretch out to allow your foot to lie flat on the ground. That tension on your calf, which was contracted when you were in heels, pulls at the back of the leg and thigh, thus causing the sensation that you are being pulled backwards.

Why do I get weird sensations in my head? Sometimes it feels like I'm falling backwards or I feel pressure spots on my forehead.

2 possible answers: These may not be the answers, but they are common causes. The sensation of movement arises from part of the body called the vestibular system. It is located under each ear. Sometimes this is the source of peripheral vertigo. There is also something called a tension headache. It feels like a band or pressure, often in the forehead, on both sides.

Mrs is 89 after eating breakfast while cleaning up she gets a tremble feeling it also feels like a shiver and a feel of falling backwards?

Mrs is 89 after eating breakfast while cleaning up she gets a tremble feeling it also feels like a shiver and a feel of falling backwards?

Symptoms after meals: Symptoms after eating can sometimes be brought on by the workload on the heart caused by the extra blood flow needed for digestion. It's also possible that symptoms are brought on by standing (lowering of blood pressure on standing). Taking medications first thing after getting up can cause symptoms that begin shortly after breakfast too. Best to talk to your doctor and get blood pressure checked. :).
