What would cause little white worm like things to appear all over (eyelids, inside nose ans mouth, skin, legs, arms....) causing bruising and tenderness in parts of.Leg and arms, and little red bites?

Could be a sty : It may be an early sty. It should be one eyelid not both that is swollen. If one the use of warm compresses four times a day for 5-10 minutes for a couple of days should help. If both lids are swollen it may be preseptal infection and you should see a doctor as you may need antibiotics.
