Depends how large: Girls with adrenal hyperplasia can have a very large clitoris & pediatric urologists are experts at performing reduction clotoroplasties whilst preserving most of the glans clitoris with it's nerve supply. Is it normal for there to be discomfort around my clitoris? I have polycystic ovary syndrome and have been told that an enlarged clitoris is a symptom. Every once in a while I have a slight amount of irritation (itching/pain) that comes without warning.
The: The itching and pain could be from a fungal (yeast) infection localized to this area. You can try to use an over the counter vaginal yeast infection cream to the affected area twice a day for one to two weeks. If that does not work try vagisil cream. Again if no relief see your doctor because you should not have this kind of "discomfort." lastly an enlarged clitoris could be secondary to increased male hormones (testosterone) however there should be no associated itching and pain.
