Can pristiq cause low blood sugar of 64 in a patient with stage 3 CKD & elevated amylase and lipase enzymes. No diagnosis of pancreatitis from mayo.

Can pristiq cause low blood sugar of 64 in a patient with stage 3 CKD & elevated amylase and lipase enzymes. No diagnosis of pancreatitis from mayo.

What % of chronic or acute pancreatitis shows elevated Lipase or Amylase?

Acute tests: A 1998 study found that 100% of patients with acute pancreatitis had an elevated lipase, and 95% had an elevated amylase directly upon admission to the hospital. High salivary amylase in serum that drops down to normal when doing prep for colonoscopy, and rises again after that: what can be the cause?

Not much: In the absence of any symptoms or facial swelling/bumps in salivary gland areas, this most likely a non-significant finding. A good oral exam by an ENT or dentist is probably in order if there is any doubt. ...Read more
