Possibly: Possibly it could be an infection transmitted via contact but it could just be abrasion from multiple blowing the nose and wiping the nose. A medicated ointment would help. ...Read more

POSSIBLY: Though some may argue the possibility of "auto-innoculation" or spreading the virus to other tissues, it is common and frequent in my experience. Treat it with anti-viral meds (acyclovir or derivatives) either symptomatically or prophylactically. Best recommendation: don't touch a sore. Wash hands before and after using the bathroom. Not herpes: Burning lips, without blisters/sores, almost certainly isn't herpes and taking valacyclovir probably isn't what made it better. And herpes is an unlikely cause of "red pimples" on the nose. Take no more valacyclovir and check with your doctor. Good luck! ...Read more
