Causes Of Cerebritis
Can methotrexate help with mild vasculitis of brain/cerebritis or neuro symptoms caused my ctd such as lupus?
Any reason other than brain inflamm/cerebritis that prednisone always helps my lightheaded, fogginess/confusion? Md doesn't know cause. I have lupus.
Inflamed brain: Cerebritis is a term often used to describe the effect lupus has when brain is involved, i.e., areas of brain become inflamed and dysfunctional as a consequence. Probably not a good term as is somewhat misleading.
Perhaps: If tuberculosis gets into the brain, this can clearly be deadly unless immediate intervention is accomplished. Often the spread results from tuberculoma rupturing and causing a tuberculous meningitis, and if pupils dilate, may be terminal. But if diagnosis is mad early, meds to treat may really turn around. The risk is however, very high indeed.
I have lupus cerebritis and experience non-stop migraines since being diagnosed. Recently I find OTC analgesics to do work why do you think that is?
Typo: This is probably a secretarial error for "calcified granuloma with focal caseation".
Have lupus cerebritis. Prednisolone over 2yrs. On ppitoo. Been constipated. Blackstools over 2years. Recent bloodyblack stool. Recent abdominalpain? So
Help. Lupus-like condition. Get flares of severe brain fog, confusion, dizziness -affects my job. Neg neuro work-up. Increasing prednisone during episodes& symptoms resolve. Lupus cerebritis still likely?
Rheumatologist: You must be seeing a physician for this condition. Have them consider consultation with a neurologist. While on steroids you are at significantly greater risk for central nervous system and other infections. Cannot advise more without knowing your full medical history.See 1 more doctor answer
Looking for top doctors in the u.S. Who treat CNS lupus/ceribritis vasculitis. My 22 year old niece has it and none of her drs have ever treated it.?
Need Rheumatologist: My suggestion is to see a progressive rheumatologist in your relatively local area. There are many great centers around the country. Your location and access to the doctor can not be discounted. This is a long term disease, not a single visit issue. Many great doctors are around you.See 1 more doctor answer
Could be anything: Anyehere from simple tension headaches to a tumor in the brain. Most often it could be a migraine. If severe and too frequent please see a doctor.
Vagus nerve: Vagal stimulation is associated with bradycardia and hypotension- and fainty feeling. Falling is dangerous. Discuss with your doctor.
Performance anxiety: Performance anxiety is major cause of erectile dysfunction in young men. Well, that & life style, eg smoking, excess alcohol, other illicit drugs, etc. Think of it as stress begets ed which begets stress which. . . Well, you get idea. In older (that's a relative idea) men, our (poor) health gets in the way, eg blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, etc. In both cases, don't forget partner, family.
Many possible: Lots of things can cause that, some of which can be serious. I would contact his/her oncologist asap or visit the er.
Doubtful: Des has been off the market for decadesa and the structural anomalies are well defined. Talk them over with your doctor.
An u/s showed "reactive size (3mm) nodes" (bilateral cervical in 7 y/o child). what could be the cause to be "reactive, " if enlarged for 4+ years?
Nothing specific: In children 3-7 years of age cervical lymph gland enlargement is so common that it is almost considered normal. Abnormality wld be suggested by the glands getting larger & larger & accompanied by pain, redness, fever & throat involvement. Reactive enlargement is a reaction to the exposure to viruses and bacteria that occurs in all children and 3 mm size is not significant. If worried see ur doc
