Possibly: The radial artery is one of two arteries that supply blood to the hand/wrist/and thumb, in addition to collateral arteries. That is why it is less likely to be due to the arterial occlusion. Achy, burning, shooting pain sounds more like a nerve compression such as carpal tunnel syndrome. Ischemic pain is usually different although could have some similar attributes to what you describe. ...Read more

Maybe: It depends on how long the pressure is on the arm before you have the sensation. If it occurs rapidly then there could be a problem. If it takes a while then it may be a normal reaction due to decreased blood flow from the pressure on the arm. The other possibility is it could stem from your depression, as many sensory symptoms can be due to significant depression. See your doctor. ...Read more

Nerve damage: Hopefully this will be temporary, but you did some damage to the nerve(s) that run between your elbow and hand.
