Causes Of Bruise On My Big Toe
Can you get a stone bruise on the corner of your big toe? How can I treat it cause it hurts real really really bad! : (
Might be easy to fix: Hard to tell from your description, but this could be a "subungual hematoma, " or a collection of blood under a fingernail or toenail after you've bashed it. Usually it's just a drop of blood, but it can really hurt! A doctor or nurse could show you how to drain the blood and relieve the pain (but not all nurses know how). Of course, you should be sure you didn't fracture the toe.See 1 more doctor answer
Bruise Or Contusion (Definition)
Bruises, or ecchymoses, are discolorations and tenderness of the skin or mucous membranes due to the leakage of blood from an injured blood vessel into the surrounding tissues. A serious disease called pupura presents as a cluster of small bruises called petachia. Petachia often appears as many tiny red dots clustered together, and could indicate a problem. ...Read more
Mysterious bruising on feet my husband has bruising on his feet-the bottom heel and alongside the big toe and on some of his toes but did nothing to bruise them. What can cause this?
Chances: Chances are this has nothing to do with the feet, but more a problem with blood clotting. It may be showing up in the feet because feet take more of a daily pounding than the rest of us. I would recommend he go to his primary care physician, who will undoubtedly order some blood tests and see if he has some kind of coagulation issue.
Can shoes cause lumps on feet? Have a painful and slightly bruised lump under my big toe but haven't hurt it.
You (s)choose: I look at it this way. The slightly bruised lump was caused by: 1. Pressure on your toe with absolutely no involvement with the shoe. 2. Pressure on your toe caused by the toe and the shoe. 3. Pressure on the toe caused only by the shoe, having nothing to do with the toe's activity. I'm betting on number 2.
5 wks ago bone bruise to talus & ligament damage. Get electrical shock feel down right underside of big toe when pressured. Cause & how long to heal?
LOTS TO GUESS: I have to guess a lot, b/c the info is sparse. Bone bruise and ligament damage=at least moderate degree of trauma. Ligaments affected-inside ankle bone ligaments? -deltoids. Tingling-maybe the tibial nerve was temporarily damaged.
What would cause sudden severe pain in big toe and toe joint? Not bruised or swollen. Can't walk on it. Sharp pain under toe where it bends.
Does bruising normally occur after a fracture or break in a foot and pain in big toe, what causes that?
Bruised=need X-ray: The big toe has a major function taking on impact after heel strike. It also in propels your gait. Very prone to getting sore and bruised. It may be due to the bruising of accessory bones called "ossicles" they are small and round to ovoid in shape. At the base of the big toe near the ball of the foot we have 2 of these bones side by side. Exam + x-rays may reveal clues or even fracture.See 2 more doctor answers
Out of what?: Most people can still walk with a bruised toe. The severity of the bruise and symptoms you are feeling will determine what you can and can't do. Make sure to ice in the first 24-48 hours to reduce any swelling.
I have a bruise on the bottom of my right big toe, it's been there a while and just recently it started to grow in a line.?
Curious.: What does "been there a while" mean in terms of time. Bruises generally don't last a long while and disappear in a short while. They are generally brought on by an injury of varying degrees of pressure. There may be something else that is discoloring the skin and it might be prudent to have your toe examined.See 1 more doctor answer
I stubbed my big toe 5 days ago very painful but the bruising color the first night was of a green color and is still same green on toe and under othe?
Green toe: Not something I have heard about but I suggest you set up an appointment to see a foot doctor. Your primary doctor should refer you.
Not uncommon: For "bruising" to spread in few few days due to swelling and breaking of small blood vessels. However, if pain is spreading or worsening, consult with your doctor.See 2 more doctor answers
I hope not toe long.: As long as you are not using your toe in the function of play, you can start immediately. But, if your play activity involves aggressive toe function, you had better wait a while. The waiting time is based on the specific activity and the amount and seriousness of the injury. You might have to play it by ear.See 3 more doctor answers
After I swim, my big toe hurts when I step or I bend it. It's swollen. There's no bruise visible.
Stubbed my big toe a week ago. It bruised and today the nail fell off. Anything special I should do?
Not Much.: That must have been one heck of a stub. But no matter, clean it up and you're good to go. Be aware that, most of the time, the new nail will be as normal as the old nail. Occasionally, if the nail root was damaged by the "stub", the new nail may show some degree of distortion. The new nail may appear thicker, thinner, split or even wavy. These changes may be only temporary, but could be permanent.
