Watch for 1-2 weeks: A bruise on the breast can be caused by trauma which can cause bleeding under skin especially if you are taking aspirin but it can also be somethings less likely like a bleeding disorder, low platelets or rarely, a tumor can show up with a bruise. If it is painless(non- tender) then it is unlikely due to trauma. Watch if it changes or gets bigger, then go see your doctor. Otherwise it may go away ...Read more

Costochondritis: Costochondritis is an inflammation in the cartilage in the chest often where the ribs meet the sternum. It should hurt when you touch it and may also bother you when you breathe. Not DVT.: Sounds like you are concerned about a deep vein thrombosis. With a normal D dimer that is very unlikely. Also the appearance of a bruise suggests a musculoskeletal injury and not a DVT. Hard to correlate chest symptoms with your leg symptoms. ...Read more

Costochondritis? : I suspect you have Costochondritis: inflammation at juncture of cartilage & rib either at breastbone or approx 3-5 in. lateral to breastbone on either side. Typically caused by viruses, & by trauma - blunt or from strenuous activity. No treatment necessary except for anti-inflammatory or other pain medicine; should clear spontaneously in 2-4 weeks.
