Hello, : Hello, i can't diagnose the cause of the blood in your stool. Causes of bleeding can include polyp which is bleeding, cancer, anal fissure or inflammation or infection of the colon (or any part of the GI tract for that matter). The person may have internal hemrrhoids that they aren't aware of. Constipation can also cause bleeding. Rough, dry, hard stool can damage the GI mucosa, especially if a lot of pressure is exerted to expell the stool. It is very important that blood in the stool is medically worked up.
