Sometimes there is a discontinuation syndrome with anxiety, irritabilty and even electric shock feelings, but it is usually mild and transient. The dose can be gradually reduced over a week or so if worried. ...Read more

Hi, my daughter just had a distension of the bladder don yesterday and she started bleeding today...Is there something wrong or should I contact dr?

31 weeks ultrasound, fetus showed a clearly distended bladder, no dilation in kidneys n amniotic pool was good. Ultrasound repeated next day showed same?

Not necessarily : At this time during fetal development, the urine output is very large. This large volume may give the appearance of a distended bladder. It is reassuring that the kidneys are not dilated and that the amniotic fluid is normal. It would be desirable to know the gender of the baby prior to recommending additional imaging which would have to start with an ultrasound study shortly after birth. ...Read more

Could bladder training cause uti?

Could bladder training cause uti?

I believe so: Little children don't understand need to relax pelvic floor muscles or urinary sphincer to urinate. Parents may suggest that child pushes urine out squeezes abdomen.
