Does topamax (topiramate) ever cause permanent memory impairment? I have been off the drug for 1.5 weeks and still have short-term memory problems and anomia.

Unlikely temporary: You are likely experiencing anti-cholinergic side effects from the medication, which is a bit uncommon with gabapentin, but unlikely to improve readily on its own.
