TMJ: It's possible that you have "Temporomandibular Joint syndrome", also known as "TMJ Syndrome". This is not scary, and most of the time it resolves on it's own, if you experience pain, tylenol (acetaminophen) or Ibuprofen are okay to take. TMJ: These are all symptoms of TMJ dysfunction. Most TMJ dysfunction is caused by bruxism (chronic teeth grinding and/or clenching), or a bad bite. Make an appointment with your dentist or a dentist who treats TMJ dysfunction for an examination. Ear: it could be a chronic ear infection. I would suggest you go to your doctor, have him evaluate your inner ear, and ear drum. he can prescripte cipro (ciprofloxacin) OTIC and this may clear up the infection in a week if this is the case. ...Read more

Maybe: MRI of the brain looks at the brain and would show most brain masses. Small lesions in the ear and internal auditory canal may be missed unless an MRI that focuses in on the ear is performed using a smaller field of view. Talk to your doctor. ...Read more

Rule out ear problem: Ruling out ear infection is especially important so that the possibility of hearing loss can be avoided. Also it is important that your physician rule out the possibility of infection the ear first before making the assumption that the problem is related to TMJ. See your PCP. ...Read more
