No: Red palms IS palmar erythema. Red hands is not. What you describe may be true palmar erythema, or it may not. It is never due to diversion of blood flow away from the hands. Hard to be exact: Red palms could be a sign of polycythemia, that is elevated hematocrit hemoglobin red cells and could be a reactive process, ie oxygenation issue etc or primary.
