Does being exposed to new strain of HPV mean your partner has HPV ? Hpv dormant two years....Used a condom

Does being exposed to new strain of HPV mean your partner has HPV ? Hpv dormant two years....Used a condom

Hello. : Hello. If it is in fact a new strain (not a recurrence) than it would have to be transmitted from someone. If you have been monogamous, then it may well have come from your partner (unless you had an infected partner previously). Even if a condom is used, some small lesions which aren't readily visible, can still come in contact with skin which isn't covered by the condom. ...Read more

Can cunnilingus or fellatio transmit HPV (human papilloma virus) infections?

Can cunnilingus or fellatio transmit HPV (human papilloma virus) infections?

Yes to both but rare: The hpv virus is ubiquitous. But most of us, most of the time, are able to fight off its affects in terms of warts or precancerous changes of the cervix. That's just the preamble. Your question was about contracting it through cunnilingous or felatio. Yes it is possible but saliva, for the most part will kill the hpv. Never the less, there are increasing reports of oral/throat hpv. ...Read more

When having intercourse with a high risk sexual partner, how to prevent herpes simplex virus type 2?

When having intercourse with a high risk sexual partner, how to prevent herpes simplex virus type 2?

Preventing Herpes: There is no 100% solution here, unfortunately. The infected partner in a couple can be put on medication to suppress the viral shedding, but this protects against infection only up to 50%. If the infected partner is male and the infection is on the penis then condoms are very effective at preventing contagion. Herpes is transmitted skin to skin and can be caught even without an active sore. ...Read more
