Talk to your doctor: You may want to talk with the prescribing physician about the side effects. I would let them know if breaking those tablets in half and taking them like that would make sense. Some people might do better with taking a half tablet twice a day or taking the dose about twelve hours later than usual. Be sure to keep your prescribing physician in the loop! stay safe! ...Read more

Lab data: It is very difficult, if not impossible to interpret lab data in the absence of clinical information or relevance. My advice is to discuss this with the doctor who ordered these tests and not try to self-diagnose over the internet. Best wishes. ...Read more

Need medical examina: You need to see a doctor for medical check up to find the cause of Hives. It may be an allergic reaction to a medication or any chemicals in your environment. Your WBC count is also high, but we need to know the differential count, a breakdown of WBC into its component cells. You may need to see an allergist if the hives do not go away in a few days. Specialized tests(complement levels) may help ...Read more
I am 23 bilatral mild kne tendernes 1 year.Rib , hip , tendernes on and of.Uric acid 6.4:hct62.5% RA , anti ccp negativ.Wbc 9000 one kidney gone .P.U.V?
Hematologist needed!: If you are a non-smoker, the hct of 62.5% strongly indicates a "myeloproliferative" disorder of which polycythemia vera is a variant and can give bone pain, especially if there is a high viscosity that limits blood flow and tissue oxygen delivery. The uric acid is not significantly elevated and not playing a role in your symptoms, but ongoing monitoring is required with blood disorders. ...Read more
Hydrops fetalis, : Excessive fluid build-up in 2 or more body parts in a fetus, can be pretty severe, as you describe. Non-immune hydrops can be from heart or lung problems, severe anemia (alpha-thalassemia or infections), genetic syndromes or problems in fetal development. I'd seek evaluations of both kids by a geneticist to look for a cause ; by your state's early intervention program to assess their development. ...Read more

What is the reason: For serial testing of his WBC and IgA? Lymphocytes are bit on the lower side, and also the IgA, but those have to be read in context of his clinical picture. You can confer with the doctor who ordered the tests. For a second opinion with a specialist, an allergist/immunologist, ask your doctor for referral if s/he would, also check acaai.org or aaaai.org for an allergist/immunologist in your area ...Read more
See Dr., then eat...: If one is truly underweight (based on height, family background, and body type), a Dr. can evaluate for a hormonal, digestive, or other disorder. If no medical cause is found, then one can add weight by eating more calories of nutritious foods, while also doing weight-training to increase muscle. Proteins: egg white, chicken breast, salmon,... Better fats: olive oil, peanuts, almonds, tofu,... ...Read more
My liver tests are as follows:
Bilirubin Direct : 0.3 mg/dL, Bilirubin Indirect : 1.8 mg / dl, Globulin : 5.6 g / dL
Should I be concerned
? Gilbert's disease: It is a familial (autosomal dominant), common (2-5% of people), unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia (blood bilirubin measures 1-5mg/dl), not due to breakdown of blood. It is associated with reduced enzyme levels of udp glycuronyl transferase, that results in jaundice when patients fast or suffer an infection. It does not shorten life or raise insurance rates, but may predispose to tylenol (acetaminophen) toxicity. ...Read more
Got mi, ef 26%, creat 1.5, scar of 10% @ infrolateral seg, ischemia 3%, reversible defect 5% @ antro segs, 3 blocked arteries. Dou recommend angioplasty?
Could a lumbar sympathetic block or nerve block help with restless leg syndrome or should I just use Requip (ropinirole) and lidoderm 5% patches?
RLS Rx: Do you have PRIMARY RLS (just RLS and nothing else) or secondary (due to neuropathy, sleep apnea, etc)? RLS happens in the BRAIN. I know of no evidence that blocks are effective for RLS. Whose notion was that? For same reason Lidocaine patches shouldn't help. Stick with ropinirole, pramipexole, gabapentin, pregabalin, levodopa. If secondary, try to treat underlying cause as well. ...Read more
