I was prescribed Prozac 40 mg, Ritalin 10 mg, Concerta 108 mg, Remeron 30 mg and Risperdal 3 mg. Is this number of drugs safe?

Looks like pplypharm: while need more of hx, suspect by number of your medications you probably do not need to be on this many, make sure your psychiatrist is not adding on a new medication for every new psychiatric symptom as sometimes one disease like depression can have all the other associated symptoms like inattention, poor concentration which will improve with an antidepressant alone without the need for Ritalin. ...Read more

Taking 1000 mgs Depakote 10 mgs Valium 10 mgs Ambien at bed time. Can i still take 5 mgs of saphris (asenapine)?

Taking 1000 mgs Depakote 10 mgs Valium 10 mgs Ambien at bed time. Can i still take 5 mgs of saphris (asenapine)?

Ask your doctor: Dd your doctor prescribe these to be taken all at once? The combo of valium and Ambien is deadly. Please don't take them together tonight, and call your doctor in the morning. As for Depakote and saphris, (asenapine) do take these as going without could cause a relapse of your bipolar disorder. Be well. ...Read more

Alcohol (10+beers), 50 mg benadryl, (diphenhydramine) 3 mg melatonin, 400 mg tegratol and 50 mg zoloft. What could happen?

REALLY bad idea!!: Dr sangal already went through the specifics. Anyone who would be fool hardy enough to take this combination of substances either needs to see an addiction medicine specialist or a psychiatrist. ...Read more

See your physician: None of these medications is a "usual suspect" that causes constipation. However, 4% of patients taking Duexis reported constipation (caveat: the percent of patients taking ibuprofen who reported constipation was the same). Keep a log of your bowel movements (frequency, consistency, timing) and take it to your physician for discussion. http://www.rxlist.com/duexis-side-effects-drug-center.htm ...Read more

Yes: It is not a good idea to mix all these drugs together since no one really knows what the outcome of the interaction may be given some many variables. If you have had so much problem falling asleep, consider getting a sleep study which may reveal the cause. ...Read more

My adult son takes 90 mg of vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine)?

Dr. Prescription: 90 mg is a relatively high dose of vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine). If your son's doctor has prescribed that dose of vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine), is monitoring his response and he is not having any side effects, you should get assurance by talking to your pediatrician. ...Read more
