Is coffee considered a "stimulant laxative"(such as castor oil), or is it not considered to be a true stimulant laxative?

Constipation. Laxatives, fiber, water, diet changes, even castor oil haven't worked. Colonoscopy 3 years ago showed no bowel obstruction. Help?

However , if you are restricting your intake you may loose some not because castor oil is a weight loss medicine because you are restricting . Castor oil ugh!: Why in the world would you want to give your child such awful stuff? I assume she is constipated. If so an adjustment of her diet may be all that is necessary. For example cut down on the milk and dairy products, add more fruits and vegetables to the diet. Figs, prunes and dates also work well as natural laxatives. ...Read more
