High fiber content: It is the high fiber content of the cashews that is allowing you to have bowel movements. The underlying question is why you cannot have regular bowel movements without them. You may have irritable bowel syndrome constipating type or perhaps something more insidious. At any rate, i would recommend that you discuss this with your family dr.
