Staph aureus: If you are trying to treat cartillagenous infection with topical Mupirocin it is not very likely to have any significant effect. Best to be seen by an infectious diseases expert and have this managed appropriately. ...Read more

Yes...antibiotics: What you have described is a definite infection. It needs to be cleaned frequently with soap and water. Topical antibiotic's will also help. It may very well need oral antibiotics. Remove the ear ring: It sounds like you have developed a "keloid" type scar from the piercing. The scar tissue may resolve by removing the ear ring but you may need a small steroid injection into the site if it doesn't resolve with ear ring removal. ...Read more

No: Please see a doctor. There is a chance it is a granuloma. This is not serious, but easily treated. There are a few other things it could be. Also, please make sure the metal stud is either sterling silver or surical steal. ...Read more
