I have pulsatile tinnitus in left ear, and significant tortuosity of the left upper internal carotid artery below the skull base. Is there a cure?

Mastoid area: The area you described is where the mastoid air cells are. These air cells can become infected and cause discomfort much like a sinus infection. You need to be seen to determine if it this problem especially if you are having fevers. ...Read more

Pain in the back of the head is unusual for a sinus infection. This would be more likely an ear infection but this is unlikely as well. This could be a mastoiditis which is rare but plausible. This can come from a middle ear infection not treated or inadequately treated. Other causes could be referred neck pain. See your doctor very soon.
