Not easy or alone: There are certainly things you can do at home to help yourself. But a depression that started at 12 and has lasted for 4 years needs help beyond what you can do alone. On your own you can make sure you exercise and sleep consistently, and eat healthy foods. You can also speak with a school counselor on your own. But you'll need your parents' help to see your doctor for more treatment. Tell them! ...Read more

At hospital I was told I had high blood pressure? I checked at home and it's fine 3 times at home?
Could still be: First make sure your blood pressure cuff at home is accurate. Bring it in to your drs office and compare it to a manual measurement in both arms. An echo of the heart with left ventricular hypertrophy ( a thick muscle) might mean you have high pressure and not be aware of it. The ekg might also show this. If all good then possibly was high due to stress. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Positive pregnancy test twice at home and at the drs. But brown/dark spotting for 3days now. Gestation sac shows 5wks instead of 7wks. Please help.
Common: Brown spotting around the time of a positive pregnancy test is really common. I worry when it's bright red and accompanied by cramping. There is a risk of miscarriage with every conception, and there really isn't anything to do at this point but to wait and see if the sac grows. Maybe you conceived more recently than you thought, and the pregnancy is just early? ...Read more

Trying to conceive: Home pregnancy tests are most accurate at least 4 weeks after your last menstrual period. If initial test is negative but you're not convinced, repeat test in another week. Ovulation prediction kits may be helpful. ...Read more
