Cardiolipin Antibodies And Pregnancy
I got two times abortion. Doctors declered cardiolipin antibodies, what can I do pregancy time, I wan solution?
When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more
I have cardiolipin antibodies, serum. I got two times abortions. Wht the solution my problem.? 2. In my frist pregancy probem was baby internal growth is less. In secind pregancy problem is spontaniously abortion
Don't worry.: Many women have these antibodies and the vast majority have normal pregnancies each time. Only a small fraction of such women will have the dreaded antiphspholipid antibody syndrome (which consists of recurrent thromboses, pregnancy losses and lupus-like disease). If you are otherwise asymptomatic and just happened to be positive for this immunologic test, you need to stay calm and see an mfm doc.
TEST FOR A SYNDROME: It is one of the tests ordered to diagnose the anti-phospholipid syndrome which can lead to recurrent spontaneous abortions and clotting issues.
Forever: When you have them, you have them for good.
If I test negative for anti cardiolipin antibodies once, does that mean I 100% don't have them or can it become positive?
No: There is no way to predict when a disease condition or lab result may change although there are risk factors which may increase your chance of getting a disease. The human body is not static and in fact is being modified by epigenetics and environmental exposure constantly even as we speak
Can you please explain the test for cardiolipin antibodies and what the numbers for IgG and IgM mean?
Auto-antibodies: Anti-cardiolipin antibodes are seen in some patients with auto-immune disease and in patients with syphilis. Igm antibodies mean recent onset of antibody production and igg means antibody production going on for a while. For details see these sites. Http://www. Nhlbi. Nih. My results showed that I have antinuclear antibody on cardiolipin ab (igg). What are the implications?
Can I still have lupus if my ANA and other antibodies are negative except the cardiolipin IgM and lupus coagulant! I have all the symptoms for lupus.
Yes, amongst other Dx: Anti-cardiolipin antibodies are antibodies often directed against cardiolipin & found in several diseases, including syphilis, antiphospholipid syndrome, livedoid vasculitis, vertebrobasilar insufficiency, Behçet's syndrome, idiopathic spontaneous abortion, ] and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).They are a form of anti-mitochondrial antibody. In SLE, anti-DNA Abs &anti-cardiolipin Abs act independently
No: Antibiotics will not effect pregnancy test result.
Yes: There are some antibiotics that you can take such as penicillin.
Anticardiolipin: There is a realtionship to higher amounts of miscarriages with this antibody. About 2% to 4% of the general population has antiphospholipid antibodies, and over half of those have primary anticardiolipin (an antiphospholipid) antibody syndrome. Antiphospholipid syndrome is a factor in about 15% of women who have recurrent miscarriages.
Need to know why: The choice of antibiotic is not only based on safety during pregnancy, but also what condition you are trying to treat. For example, an antibiotic may be safe, but completely ineffective against the bacteria causing the infection. If you need antibiotics, please see your doctor to ensure you are using the correct one.
Cannot say: Without an actual examination, I cannot give specific medical advice on your particular health, but here is some good general information. Can say pregnancy squishes the bottom of the lung. Can say it irritates the area and causes cough and other stimuli can damp down the feeling (vick's vapo rub best...and external so very safe) can NOT say whether or not you might be starting into pneumonia!
No: It shouldn't affect the results of the test.
You don't: I'm not aware of any common antibiotics that affect a pregnancy test.
Which antibodies?: If you are Rh neg then you will receive a Rhogam injection at 28 weeks and post partum. You will need to find out which antibody you have and what the titers (levels) are. Some antibodies are not significant. Others are. The first step is determining which antibody you have. Then you can find out from your doctor if it is relevant in terms of pregnancy.
