I don't think so: Carbocisteine is not available in the US and I am unfamiliar with it. But looking it up, it appears to be an alkylation of cysteine (an amino acid) with choroacetic acid, used as a mucolytic to thin respiratory secretions. It is not a cough suppressant. I have a horrible cough and I decided to buy carbosisteine and now as I become better I spit blood in my pleghm but I don't cough anymore, help?
Cough with blood: I am not familiar with this drug you are using. The streaky blood with the cough is not uncommon. Blood clots on the other hand are mare worrisome. You can gargle with warm saltwater and this will help with the dryness in the throat. Try using over the counter delsym (dextromethorphan) this will help with the cough.
