It will NEVER cure hyper nodules, although it can control them indefinitely. Need more info: Carbimazole will lower your thyroid level as long as you remain on the medication. The cause for your hyperthyroidism (Grave's disease, toxic nodule, multinodular goiter) will determine whether you will be able to come off the medication and have a normal thyroid level. You should be starting to feel better soon, but depending how high your free T4 and free T3 (liothyronine) were at time of diagnosis, and the carbimazole dose you were started on, it's possible to not have become therapeutic yet. Hyperthyroid: Carnitine will not help. The dose of carmimazole/methimazole needed will often change over time, and the course of the hyperthyroidism can change.
