When can babies start using foward facing car seats?

When can babies start using foward facing car seats?

As late as possible: The top heavy nature of a toddlers physique makes their neck, spinal cord and neck nerves at great risk during a frontal impact crash. Rear-facing allows the initial impact to be absorbed into the seat. See www. Joelsjourney. Org for info. The European standard has been rear-facing to 3 for > a decade & NHTSA recommended rear facing to 2 in 1999.Seats are now available that rear face to 40 lb. Do it.

Do premature babies need special car seats?

Do premature babies need special car seats?

Yes: Every baby born less than 37 weeks gestation should have a car seat trial before discharge from the hospital, to ensure breathing is adequate. The hospital staff should check to see if the car seat you've selected is appropriate for the baby's size, and they should teach you how to use it safely. Baby may need a car bed if s/he fails the car seat test. Always place the car seat rear-facing.

Can you tell me if there are any special car seats for toddlers with scoliosis?

Can you tell me if there are any special car seats for toddlers with scoliosis?

No: In more than a decade as a registered car seat technician I have not come across such a seat. The best approach when looking for a seat is to take it home or to a fitting station for a proper installation and see how it works for the kid. Keep your receipt and do not hesitate to take it back and exchange it for a different model. The mechanics for safety are different than the appearance of comfort.

What to do if I have just swapped cars and What to do if I have a lap belt in the middle however What to do if I have 3 children under 4 in car seats. Can I get a car seat to fit a lap belt?

What to do if I have just swapped cars and What to do if I have a lap belt in the middle however What to do if I have 3 children under 4 in car seats. Can I get a car seat to fit a lap belt?

Maybe, maybe not: First, read the car owners manual and see if that middle seat can be used with a safety seat, some cannot. Some seats have a narrower profile than others and might fit, but you may need to place the oldest kid in the passenger front if the airbag can be turned off. The vehicle you use should be the one that accommodates the passengers you must carry in the safest method possible.

Could bed bugs spread through clothes or car seats?

Could bed bugs spread through clothes or car seats?

That is: Possible. Cimex lectularius or the bed bug is a parasite that is nocturnal. It can be transported on your clothing, luggage, second hand furniture etc. You can even get it using public transportation. It can go up to a year without feeding, so that allows it to just sit and wait until it catches a ride on something or someone. If you live in an apartment complex it may move from one unit to >>.

Is it possible that warmed car seats can be a cause of testicular cancer?

Testicular cancer: A study in 1989 revealed little or no support for the hypothesis that intermittent intrascrotal temperature elevation, to the degree encountered by US men today, plays a role in the etiology of germ cell testicular cancer. Seems unlikely.

Detergent soap: You can use a thin solution of laundry detergent to wipe down any areas you suspect are contaminated with the rhus antigen. The detergent will break down the protein makeup of the antigen and render it inactive. The same material can be used to wipe down your seatbelts or other areas that may have been affected. The cover of the seat can be removed and laundered but please do not launder the straps.
