Capillary bundle: Ch are spaghetti like collections of bundled capillaries in a common birth mark. They will generally grow faster than the kid for about 6-8 m, slow then start to shrink down into the skin leaving a pale or parchment like surface by the age of 4.Rarely do they need any work. My baby daughter has a capillary hemangioma in her cheek. I want to find the best hospital?

My baby daughter has a capillary hemangioma in her cheek. I want to find the best hospital?

Lots of options: Find a doctor, or children's hospital that has a vascular anomalies clinic or specialty and get the opinion of people that see these all the time. Depending on size, etc, treatment may or may not be appropriate but there is a time crunch for certain treatments to be effective (like propranolol).

What are capillary hemangiomas?

What are capillary hemangiomas?

Nests of capillarys: Infants often have nests of capillarys show up within the first month that can be localized, tiny, round or dominate a large area of skin. They grow faster than the child & surrounding nl skin, peaking in relative size about a year & have a strawberry like appearance. This rapid growth phaze is followed by slowing & reversal, often major patches decline & pale parchment like skin is left.

My 2 month old daughter has a hamengioma above her upper lip. Some doctors say its a capillary hamengioma while others say its cavarnous. What is the difference and how can we ascertain which one is it?

Small/large vessels: Infantile hemangiomas are benign vascular lesions that have a characteristic clinical course marked by early proliferation and followed by spontaneous involution by 9 years old. A capillary hemangioma is the most common type. It is made up of small capillaries that are normal in size and diameter, but high in number. A cavernous hemangioma is made up of larger blood vessels that are dilated.

Have 3 flu hemangiomas on liver. As adult only I'm getting lots of small red spots filled with blood all over body, face and scalp. Due to liver? Name?

Probably nothing: If the red spots on your skin are cherry hemangiomas / "Campbell de Morgan spots", relax, they mean absolutely nothing. Maybe one person has a hemangioma or two or three in the liver and it's a non-issue itself -- a Gorbachev birthmark, a curiosity. Be thankful for good health.
