To be examined and x-rayed to diagnose that you haven't gotten a fx, as outer bone in the elbow (radial head) can very easily get a fx, causing the symptoms you have. Other bones can also be fxed.
Other causes could be a sprain of the ligaments, or contusion. Any elbow injury can result in loss of motion with pain.
So seeing an orthopedist will be helpful.

If you haven't had had x rays to evaluate your elbow, you probably should. It's possible that you had a fracture in your elbow. Many can be treated without surgery. But you won't know unless you get it evaluated.

Radial head sublux: You need a physical exam to be sure, but you could have injuries of any kind, from early arthritis to a tendonitis. That being said, pain at end range of straightening out your elbow can be a mild subluxation of your radial head outside of the annular ligament.
