I have a canker sore on my gum line in the back of my mouth and while brushing it bled and appeared to "pop" (pain is less now). Should I be worried?

Yes: Recurrent aphthous ulcers are very common on the soft tissue just below the margin of the gum tissue as opposed to a "cold sore" which are recurrent herpetic lesions which respond to Acyclovir or Valtrex (valacyclovir).
