Their any way to permanently heal "aphthous ulcer" (canker sore)? Is there something wrong inside my body?

White painful sore on the inside of my upper lip. It's near the gum but on the lip and painful. Is this a canker sore? Ulcer? What caused it? Cures?

Mix a teaspoon of salt in 8 oz of warm water – gargle w this several times a day. Another option is to swish a mix of 1 part milk of magnesia ; 1 part liquid Benadryl in your mouth.
