Candida Septicemia Symptoms
Systemic Candida: Symptoms of candida pyelonephritis, cystitis, prostatitis, or epididymo-orchitis are little different from those of the same infections produced by other pathogens. Candiduria occurring in critically ill patients should initially be regarded as a marker for the possibility of invasive candidiasis. ...Read more
Why ever?: The idea of candida overgrowth is a myth. The yeast is a common occupant of the intestines and is as much as 5% of the dry weight of your poo. I have seen some mega labs, one specifically, that advertises their test of submitted stools samples for their "normals" and advises folks to seek treatment. They always suggest you repeat the test $$$ to be sure you are better. ...Read more

How can I mensure if I have candida in my bloostream? I have all symptoms. I am infected with Krusei and Tropicalis
NO such disease: Every single living human has candida inside of them. All humans' blood would test positive for candida. All of us. There is no disease state. The internet is full of fake, false, dangerous and inaccurate stuff. Since you 'have all the symptoms' but did not describe what those symptoms would be we cannot comment further. ...Read more
What is candida ab IgG and how is it contracted? What are the symptoms of candida ab igg? And how do you treat it? What is the prognosis?
Candida spp.: Candida is a yeast-like fungus. The antibody (Ab) to this is formed by elements of your immune system and the particular antibody to which you are referring is an immunoglobulin G (IgG). This is not a disease and these results alone don't need treatment. Discuss this with the doctor who ordered the test. Best wishes. ...Read more
Maybe none: This yeast is estimated to account for 5% of the dry weight of your poop. While there it usually has no symptoms. There are other sites on the skin, mouth or genitals where it can cause symptoms, but you should really specify location when you ask to get more specific answers. ...Read more
Fluconazole: Yes, fluconazole is an anti-fungal proven effective against candidal infections of various sites and is NOT dependent on gender. Persons who are immunocompromised (due to diabetes, chemo/radiation therapy, chronic steroid use, HIV, or extremes of age, etc.) are more susceptible to developing candidiasis. Common sites of infection include the mouth, genitalia, urinary tract, and esophagus. ...Read more
Do you believe in candida syndrome? If so, what symptoms would make it conclusive to you? My doctor does believe in it.
This: Is a tough diagnosis. Not knowing your history I can't make a true determination. But antibiotic use contributes to the cause. If you and your doctor believe it's the diagnosis. Try the supplements (echinacea, garlic lactobacillus to name a few.). May need oral antifungals as well. But if your symptoms point to it. And your history adds to this diagnosis. Treat accordingly. ...Read more

Have severe urgency & naturopath said I might have candida & should cut out sugar & dairy. How long would it take for this diet to reduce my symptoms?
I am an 18 year old girl who's dreading having to go on the Candida diet to cure my overgrowth symptoms? Is there any way to cure it without diet?
Sorry but not really: Few people enjoy going on a candida diet but it's impossible to treat well without a proper diet. Think of candida as a fire simmering in your intestines. Taking antifungals is like pouring water on the fire, but continuing to eat sweets is like pouring gas on the fire- you can't put it out if you keep fueling it. But you can use sweeteners like xylitol & stevia, and it's temporary- see comment: ...Read more
What is the symptomps : candida in penis? My meatus tip is swollen. No pain, not itchy. Is that it?
Balanitis: Uncircumcised men are more prone to infection or inflammation of the head of the penis and candida is a frequent cause. Candida can be transmitted from a woman who has a yeast vaginitis. Since bacterial infections of the head of the penis are less common, I recommend applying an anti yeast cream to see if your inflammation clears up. Anti bacterial cream and topical steroid creams could be tried. ...Read more
I recently asked a doctor to test me for candida albicans because I had all of the symptoms except one or two. He said I'm crazy...Help?
Lab test: There is a laboratory called the great plains that tests urine for yeast infection. Yeast infections are common and the hq of the infection is in the bowel. The yeast ferments sugar and produces arabinose and/or tartaric acid. These are absorbed into the blood and excreted in urine. Your dr. Has to order it so find one that knows about this. ...Read more

Is candida overgrowth common? And is it common in males? Will it cause yellow tongue? Are there blood tests to detect? What are other symptoms?
Mostly a myth: If you believe the phony internet claims, almost everybody has 'candida overgrowth'. It's not going to make your tongue yellow. Although the 'pop' claim has been around since the 1970's, its proponents have no easy test to diagnose it, which itself tells me it's fake. If you have a groin rash from candida (satellite lesions) or oral lesions (white stuff that scrapes off), it's real. ...Read more

Not usually: Although never say never...It is not my observance that this is a major way to present and I have a large HIV practice in ft. Lauderdale. Pretty much ground zero for HIV infections so to speak. Fever, chills, night sweats, weight loss, thrush and swollen lymph nodes are a common presentation. Diarrhea as well. These may occur in just ~30% of people. Many can be completely asymptomatic. ...Read more

I recently read an article about gut health as I suffer from fibromyalgia and am looking for better ways to manage the symptoms. A lot of the symptoms of GI candida overgrowth I could relate to. Is it possible to test for this? Who should I see?
“Fake” Diagnosis.: The possibility of Candida overgrowth as a cause of G.I. symptoms has been studied extensively and has not been found to be a real diagnosis, despite what everyone reads on the Internet. G.I. problems are very common with fibromyalgia, however. Your best bet is to consult your physician or a gastroenterologist to help you with your digestive complaints. Good luck. ...Read more
Experiencing candida die off symptom nasal odor, how do I get rid of it? It started after I added drops of grapefruit seed extract in a sinus rinse.
Sinusitis? See MD: I've never heard of "candida die off", but quick online search suggests it is nonscientific claptrap. So is "systemic" candidiasis. (Sorry if that bursts a bubble for you.) Nasal discharge with odor suggests sinus infection that may need an antibiotic. Sinus rinse alone is unlikely to help much, with or without "graprefruit seed extract" or any other "natural" product. See your GP. Good luck. ...Read more
Absolutely not: In fact, it is not at all certain that there is any benefit from fish oil for anything. In USA it has been abandoned as useless by the best-informed experts. No benefit has been demonstrated except to those who sell it. ...Read more
