Is there such a thing as having fungus, bacteria and yeast all at once in the bloodstream in someone who has low immune ?

Is there such a thing as having fungus, bacteria and yeast all at once in the bloodstream in someone who has low immune ?

Absolutely not: Someone w/ bacteria & fungus in bloodstream would be close to death in ICU. There are however some rogue medical practitioners who promote a scientifically unsound idea that various vague and non-life-threatening symptoms are due to chronic blood infection by yeast or viruses or exotic bacteria. This is pseudoscience &has resulted in patients getting seriously harmed by misguided treatment. ...Read more

Frequent yeast infections. Does it mean HIV or other immune disorder?

Frequent yeast infections. Does it mean HIV or other immune disorder?

Conceivable: But you do not say if you are a man or woman, where the yeast infections are occurring. If this is vaginal, not necessarily due to immune disorder. If oral, get checked asap for hiv, etc. When yeast vaginitis recurs frequently you may be becoming reinfected by your male partner, who should smear anti-fungal cream on his penis while you are being treated for your vaginitis. ...Read more

Girlfriend on co-amoxiclav think she developed a yeast infection we had intercourse now I am showing symptoms does this mean I have a weak immune syst?

Not necessarily: You don't say what your symptoms are, but it is entirely possible for your sexual partner to transmit fungal colonization to your penis and if you have an abrasion or other issue for you to become symptomatic. This has nothing to do with your overall immune function. Sounds like your anxiety disorder may be functioning. Good luck and best ...Read more

Suddenly: canker sores, recurrent cold sores, yeast infections w/ any sexual contact, blepharitis & had vaginal streptococcus. Underlying immune issue?

Yes: A family doc or infectious disease doctor could run a panel of tests to check it. I am not sure medical science is advanced enough to do anything about it. IVIG infusions are sometimes effective in patients with low globulins, but is terribly expensive, not covered by most insurance AND exposes you to the mercies of possible unknown blood born pathogens. Worth getting it checked if getting worse. ...Read more
