Candida Die Off Kidney Pain
Went to dr on thursday. I was told I had bacteria and yeast in my urine. They cthe urine and found out that the yeast was coming from kidneys. Serious?
Probably not, but...: First, make sure that ua was done with carefully collected midstream urine specimen, especially for sexually active females. As a result, some or few wbcs, bacteria, or yeasts alone should not assume to have kidney infection without assessing overall clinical, especially systemic sx, pictures and imaging evidence. It has been a relative common practice among pcp/er with such assumption. ...Read more

How does having intercourse cause infections (uti/yeast)? I'm a kidney transplant patient and since I started having intercourse I get a lot of uti's.
As noted below.: Intercourse causes direct irritation to the urethra (the short tube that connects your bladder to the outside) and perhaps by mechanically pushing bacteria up into the bladder. If uti's are frequent and directly associated with intercourse, try voiding immediately after intercourse, drinking plenty of fluids and if all else fails by using post intercourse antibiotics for prophylaxis. ...Read more

Get it checked out.:
This warrants further investigation. I would want to see if you have other reasons for being susceptible to vaginitis. At the very least get your blood sugars checked out.
I don't know if recurrent yeast infections interfere with getting pregnant but it makes sense that chronic inflammation would impair the sperm from entering the uterus. ...Read more
Severe vaginal burning, ll quad pain, not uti, std, yeast, products or sex. Painful/difficult urination. Long endo history/ hysterectomy. Kidney stone?
Atrophy?: Atrophic vaginitis or desquamative vaginitis can cause the vaginal symptoms, as can other infections besides yeast, like bacteria and viruses. The treatments are all very different, so you'd need a gyn specialist to sort it out. As far as the llq pain, it may or may not be related, but it could be caused by a stone, or an ovarian cyst. But a kidney stone wouldn't cause vaginal burning. ...Read more
