Both: Could be both. Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) can be very irritating to the bowel and can cause yeast. Use both an anti fungal medication and a barrier cream and keep the area irrigated in the shower. If not better, see your doctor for an exam. All the best. ...Read more

Stool sample to check for yeast, etc. does it matter that I had diarrhea from,I believe excess magnesium and vit c last night? Will it mess up reading?

Possibly: I think it's important to provide a fresh warm somewhat formed stool sample for analysis rather than a watery diarrheal sample. If the latter is found to be negative,it could be a false negative due to an unsatisfactory stool specimen. ...Read more

Mucus on stool: Mucus discharge occurs in up to 50% of patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome, with or without pain. Mucus may also be produced in response to partial obstruction, chronic constipation, rectal dysfunction, infection, & even from secretory villous tumors of the rectum. My son has had diarrhea for 2 weeks causing a bad diaperrash. He is also on day 2 of amoxicillin for an ear infection. Now it looks like a yeast infection. What should I do?

My son has had diarrhea for 2 weeks causing a bad diaperrash. He is also on day 2 of amoxicillin for an ear infection. Now it looks like a yeast infection. What should I do?

Whole nine yards: Diarrhea x 2 weeks and now Amoxicillin known to cause more diarrhea. Make sure the diaper area is clean and dry. You need to use a good barrier cream such as desytin. Nystatin ointment/cream can be used to treat yeast infection. Sometimes a touch of Hydrocortisone in the first few days may be needed to suppress inflammation if that is bad. Consult with pediatrician to be on a safe side. ...Read more

18 d ago i gave head for 3 sec , started to have fever, candida , pharyngitis. Went to the doctor to treat that , drugs gave me diahrea , but its also a sign of HIV ? Also too took tests at d10 was -

Six Weeks: Although it is unlikely that you would have picked up HIV from what you have described, it takes about six weeks at the earliest for tests to determine if you picked up HIV from that exposure. While thrush can be a sign of hiv, i would not expect it to show that quickly after exposure. It is possible that the other person had a yeast infection and you picked that up. ...Read more

Could I have excess acid ; i experience gurgling in stomach and pain especially at night, burping and farting alot, diarrhoea and a yeast infection?

Probably other cause: This does not sound like excess acid. Your symptoms are more indicative of imbalances of intestinal flora- you might have intestinal parasites and/or yeast overgrowth. You might also have irritable bowel syndrome and food sensitivities like gluten sensitivity or lactose intolerance.
