What does it mean when your blood test showed candida antibody IgA 1.5. Igm 1.2. Igg 1.9. All high?

Beware: I would be very cautious about any physician or other health care practitioner who proposes to treat you for a candida infection on the basis of bloodwork in the absence of a specific clinical finding of an infection. Labs that promote these tests are strongly linked to fringe medicine. My main concern is that you'll be given inappropriate medication and/or overlook a real health problem. ...Read more

Which antibiotics often predispose a person fo candida infections?

Which antibiotics often predispose a person fo candida infections?

Any: But the wider the variety of organisms the particular antibiotic covers, the greater the chance since this predisposition is due to eliminating organisms which might otherwise compete with the yeast and therefore allow it to grow out. We all have this organism (candida) in our bodies. It usually behaves itself in a mixed population of bacteria. ...Read more

Immune system went bust from antibiotics (bad cold and cough, candida glabatra). how can I boost immune system?I'm taking fluzol & pobiotics for C.G

Probably no harm: These infections do not harm the immune system and it is unlikely yours "went bust" on account of them. In fact, common minor infections and exposures to environmental toxins etc tend to strengthen the immune system. I hope the fluconazole (Fluzol®) helps your candida infection, but C glabrata is often resistant to all azole drugs. If symptoms persist, see doctor for an alternate treatment. ...Read more

Took 3 months of antibiotics. Are probiotics enough to kill candida? Or should I consult a doctor?

Took 3 months of antibiotics. Are probiotics enough to kill candida? Or should I consult a doctor?

Can try herbs too: Generally probiotics won't directly kill candida but will help to replace candida that have been killed by drugs or herbs. Many herbs kill candida like pau d'arco, garlic & oregano oil. If this doesn't help you can ask a doc to prescribe antifungal meds. A low-starch diet is also important. See http://www.Huffingtonpost. Can taking doxycycline 100 twice a day for month cause tongue candida and I stopped antibiotic 10 days ago and the problem steel exists please help?

Yes - Antibiotic SEs: It certainly can. If you can get some fluconazole that should wipe it out. Generally we start with 200 mg on the first day (2 pills of 100mg), then 100 mg pills once a day for a week to 13 days more. That should wipe it out easily. Show it to a doc if you have concerns. If you're on other meds you should check with a doc too about drug interactions with fluconazole. ...Read more

Is candida real? I had been on 3 different courses of antibiotic in a short period of 1 month, 3 months later still feel very fatigued and lost weight

Fungal infection: Yes candida is a real infection. Candida is fungal infection. The treatment is anti-fungal therapy — not an antibiotic. Taking antibiotic will not do anything to candida infection. I do not know why you are fatigue and have weight loss- obviously it is something you should discuss with your doctor. ...Read more

The easiest way to rid yourslef of yeast vaginitis, or thrush (which is oral and esophageal yeast inefction) is to see a physician and take oral antifungal medication such as fluconazole. Another potential option is to use a vaginal cream containing clotrimazole, and these are available over the counter.
