How does early diagnosis help with cancer treatment?

Better prognosis: The idea is if we screen for a cancer and find it earlier then there is a greater chance it's found in earlier stages and cure rate is higher. Treatment of course varies and is different for the stage of cancer. As more and more people are surviving a type of cancer finding it early had a lot to do with those observations and studies. ...Read more

I'm just wondering, if you refuse cancer treatment how long does one have to live?

Complicated: There are many forms of cancers and many different outcomes. Some cancers (like brain cancer) can be very rapid in growth and rapidly fatal in weeks without treatment. Other cancers grow slowly & could take years before affecting one's life. This also depends on the person's age and their overall health. ...Read more

Are there other cancer treatment besides traditional medicine/quemotherapy?

Forgive my frankness: If you have cancer, even a little basal cell carcinoma on your nose, it will eventually kill you, period, unless you have appropriate surgery, radiation, and/or chemotherapy. The alternative medicine community ranges from people who offer labor-intensive comfort measures that can help to the most cynical, cruel, and dishonest charlatans who will play anyone for a fool. Please be careful. ...Read more

What are the best cancer treatment centers of america for end stage cancers?

No information: No one Cancer Treatment Center of America has been shown "better" than another. Something important to remember is that these centers often try unproven treatments in the desperate hope of help. As a cancer surgeon, I have seen many people disappointed by the promises made and not kept at these Centers. Please do careful research at any Center you attend. Best of luck! ...Read more
