How is pancreatic cancer with liver metasis treated?

How is pancreatic cancer with liver metasis treated?

Chemotherapy: Generally chemotherapy. If the cancer has spread to the liver, it probably has also spread to other organs in amounts too small to be seen by even the highest quality scans. Since chemo enters the blood stream, that's why this is the best treatment. After chemo, if there is only 1 or 2 liver spots, sometimes these can ablated (radiation or heat probes). ...Read more

Can you tell me about pancreatic cancer with liver metasis?

Fortunately new medications that can kill pancreas cancer cells (depending on the kind that one has) have helped many people live longer & better, but it is still a bad cancer. ...Read more

Is acutane dangerous? I've heard lots of rumors that it causes some sort of cancer and liver failure. What are the risks? Do they out weigh the benefi

Safe if monitored: Accutane (isotretinoin) is effective for cystic acne. As with many drugs, there are associated side effects that need close monitoring. For this reason, Accutane should only be taken under a physician's care. We are mostly concerned about fetal abnormality if pregnant while on accutane. Other side effects include but not limited to depression, liver and lipid abnormalities, etc... ...Read more
