Cancer In One Lymph Node
My dr told me that ovarian cancer is chronic and will probably keep coming back. Mine was stage 3c, and was surgically removed except for the lymph nodes. Cancer is now back in one lymph node after just five months post chemo. Is this true?
I'm sorry, yes: What your doctor told you is true. The fact that your ovarian cancer came back five months after chemo means you will need more treatment with different chemotherapy. And it also means your ovarian cancer will probably keep coming back. Don't lose hope. There are many new drugs being developed every day. Ask your doctor about clinical trials. If a lymph node in biceps has some cancer cells but the one in the armpit doesn't, is the tumor only in the lymphatic system or it could have spread?
My doctor found 4 masses in my breast and one in my lymph node under my armpit. They have been biopsied could it be cancer?
I've had a lymph node on the back of my neck for over a year now. It's about 1 CM. Hard but movable. Should i be worried about cancer?
No: Just check the node about once a month. If it does not grow bigger, you do not have other enlarged nodes, it would be okay to wait and watch. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine. ...Read more
Pea sized node in armpit. 2nd time I've seen it in last 2 months. Goes away on its own in 1-2 weeks. Painful upon palpation. Lymph node? Cancer??
Are all stage 1 breast cancer patients with no lymph node involvement recommended to take chemotherapy?
No: Most important factors are tumor size, age and overall health, estrogen receptor status and her-2-neu status. In general, most young healthy people with a tumor greater than 1 cm will receive chemo and/or hormonal therapy. Smaller tumors are treated if er negative or her-2 positive. Some small er+ tumors are treated with chemo, but the relative benefits are smaller - an oncotype DX is helpful. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
