Does menstural cycle problems go away after a while from starting Abilify (aripiprazole) or zoloft?

The menstrual cycle begins with the shedding of the uterine lining, resulting in bleeding from the vagina. A few weeks later, one ovary releases an egg and the uterine lining thickens in preparation for a potential pregnancy. Pregnancy can occur at this stage if sperm fertilizes the egg. If the egg is not fertilized, the egg will leave your body and ...Read more
Does combining Zoloft and Abilify (aripiprazole) effect weight and menstural cycle? Or is it one of the two?
Will longer menstural cycles go back to normal after being on Abilify (aripiprazole) and Zoloft a while? Is this just temporary or will it last as long on the meds?
Slightly elevated prolactin in blood test - on Zoloft (sertraline) 50mg/day - irregular menstral cycle - trying to conceive - should I be concerned about a tumor?
Does Zoloft and Abilify (aripiprazole) effect menstrual cycles? Could they make the cycle last longer? Kinda getting worried. Will it never stop?
Impossible: Zoloft (sertraline) should not have any effect on your hormonal functioning and therefore should not be able to delay your period. However, it is not impossible for stresses in your life, including depression, to have an effect on the timing of your periods. Make sure that you continue to maintain a healthy mindset and lifestyle.
Does Zoloft or Abilify (aripiprazole) change menstrual cycles? My period is lasting 2 more days than usual.
Many options: There are multiple options. Hormonal treatments such as birth control pills, Progesterone treatments and the Mirena iud are effective reversible treatments that will help many people. There is also a drug called Lysteda that contains no hormones which will help others. Many choose to take Ibuprofen or Tylenol (acetaminophen).
I haven't had my menstrual cycle yet this month, should I be concerned that I haven't had it yet? I haven't had sex.
Periods can vary: I would suggest you try not to worry about a late period. Since you have not had sex, the late period could be due to stress, lack of good nutrition, poor sleep, or many other causes. Some women do have variable periods without anything at all wrong with them. If you continue to be late, please see a physician to properly diagnose the problem, if any.See 1 more doctor answer
Trichomoniasis: Trichomoniasis is infection that is transmitted via sexual activity. Your menstrual cycle does not cause trichomoniasis. It must be treated with antibiotics. If your last sexual activity was 10 months ago then the infection has been there since at least that time.
Several reasons: This problem mandates a real-time (face-to-face) meeting with a doctor. A history has to be taken along with a examination as well as labs and other tests. Only after all this will your doctor be in a position to tell you what's wrong and what needs to be done to help you.
Is 20 days too early to test after unprotected sex? I don't have a menstrual cycle to go off of..
I am 17 and my menstrual cycle isn't regular. I've my periods every 3 months. Is it fine if this happens?
Maybe okay: At 17, the communication between your pituitary gland that tells your ovaries what hormones to make is still maturing. It's possible that this is why your periods are irregular. It's also possible that extremes of weight such as too thin or too heavy can be a cause as well. Thyroid can also play a role. At some point, maybe by 18, if you're periods aren't regular, make an appt with gynecologist.
Menstrual cycle is really painful every month and I can't take the pain anymore. What causes me to cramp so bad?
Inflammation/bleed: Elevation of prostaglandins in the menstrual cycle is what causes the pain, alongside inflammation of the pelvic organs/tissues as well. Ibuprofen is the best medication for this. Sometimes women have endometriosis, however, and that can make periods more severe. Discuss this with your gynecologist if Ibuprofen doesn't help ease the pain. You may need more extensive treatment. Good luck!
Is it normal to all of a sudden experience an extended menstrual cycle when haven't had one in years since getting mirena (levonorgestrel)?
Not normal: This doesn't happen to most patients with mirena (levonorgestrel). It could indicate breakthrough bleeding due to the progestin hormone in the iud, could be due to an ovarian cyst, or - possibly due to a pregnancy (that is rare, but possible). Should definitely check a pregnancy test, and see doctor if it persists.
If you don't have a regular menstrual cycle ; what are other ways to tell that you are ovulating without going to the drug store and buying a kit?
Likely not ovulating: If you are nor have regular cycles, that is the best evidence that you are NOT ovulating regularly. You can check basal body temperatures, but this will be very difficult to interpret if cycles are irregular.See 1 more doctor answer

Various: Yes and yes. Menstral cycle if heavy especially could be part of it but if not eaten all day is a big possibility.See 1 more doctor answer
20 years old and the last menstrual cycle I had on 8/15/15 hasn't fully ended. It will go away for a day then come back every two days, more with sex.
It sounds like...: ...the menstrual lining didn't complete shed during your 8/15 menstrual period. What remains is coming out in fits & starts. This is common in menstrual cycles during which ovulation DOESN'T occur. If this happens to you repeatedly and/or your pelvic pain between periods hasn't been evaluated, you should make an appointment with your Gyno. Best wishes. Dr. Anne.
I had a Lupron (leuprolide) shot in June and started my menstrual cycle on July 2. I have been on my cycle since then and I haven't had any more shots. Will it sto?
Eventually, yes: However, 2 and 1/2 months is a long time form post Lupron (leuprolide) bleeding. Have your MD check to be sure that something else isn't ongoing.
I have noticed a foul odor when removing my tampon this menstrual cycle. I don't notice it if I just use a pad. My flow is also a lot less than normal. The only other fact is that I have two sexual partners, one I have had for 12 year and the second fo
