Premenstrual

Swollen_glands
Sounds like premenstrual changes of increased hormonal levels. Could be early pregnancy signs as well. Get a test and monitor symptoms. See a Gyn specialist if any persistent pain.

No swollen lymph nodes per Dr. Normal chest xray 1 month. Normal bloodwork 1 month. No appetite for a month, lost 10lbs. Appetite is back, maintaining weight, haven't gained any. Still scared lymphoma?

Not likely

Weight
Most lymphomas present with enlarged nodes somewhere. It may require CTs of chest/ abdomen and specific blood test (ESR, Flow Cytometry) and bone marrow exam to raise level of certainty. There is no perfect way to prove a negative- you do not have it- but we can certainly make it less likely. More commonly weight loss is related to inflammation and infection or other illnes than hidden lymphoma

I've got swollen lymph nodes. Should I be worried?

It all Depends

Enlarged_lymph_nodes
Our lymph system is healthy when it is active, protecting us from infections, even if we cannot feel we have been exposed to a foreign bug or substance. So, in general lymph node activity should reassure us of our health. Now, if the nodes keep growing, become painful or persist well past the time of fighting off an infection then medical care should be sought for evaluation.

Dr. Asher Turney answered:

Is it normal to get swollen lymph nodes after recovering from the stomach bug?

Lymphnodes

Stomach_flu
It is common to have some enlarged lymphnodes after having infections. These lymphnodes should resolve over a short period of time. If they dont then they should be evaluated for worsening conditions like cancer or worsening infection. Give it no more than 2 weeks and be reevaluated. You should go to your regular doctor asap to make sure nothing worse is occurring. Make sure to hydrate yourself.

I had a bad virus for a week or so with swollen lymph nodes. A sore lump appeared in my breast at the same time. Could this be another lymph node?

If it is actually

Menstrual_cycle
in the breast, probably not. If it is your axilla, where lymph nodes normally are located, yes. If it persists after your next menstrual period, you must be examined by a doctor to make sure that it is not a tumor.

Ive had swollen lymph nodes Behind my ears an under jaw for like 2 months an been on 3 antibiotics an am currently on allergy medication not improving?

Watch for enlargemen

Allergies
It is quite common to have neck nodes enlarge...often due to throat infections or inflammation. As long as they are not growing beyond 1-5-2 cm(>half Inch) they are likely to be benign and may resolve over a period of few months.if you see them increase to one inch in size then you need to show them to a ENT doctor as a biopsy may be necessary to check for any lymph gland related disease

Dr. ROBERT Uyeda answered:

Might it be that a gallstone cause swollen lymph nodes?

Yes, it can

cause inflamed lymph nodes next to the gallbladder, when it gets inflamed. But you will not be able to feel these lymph nodes because they are deep inside. If you can feel enlarged lymph nodes in the neck or groin, these are not caused by gallstones.

Dr. Michael Miller answered:

What could cause swollen lymph nodes in my groin?

Monitoring Centers

Groin
Lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells and digested food. Lymph Nodes "taste" the lymph for anything bad like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts. They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react. They shrink when all is well

Dr. Philip A. Kern answered:

Could hypothyroidism cause swollen lymph nodes?

Possibly

Hypothyroidism
A common cause of hypothyroidism is Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Your thyroid has some element of inflammation, and you may have an enlarged thyroid. Because of this inflammation, nearby swollen lymph nodes are common. If an ultrasound of the thyroid is done, they can look at these lymph nodes to make sure there is nothing suspicious about them.
