Can You Workout Too Much To The Point Of Causing Adrenal Fatigue
Adrenal fatigue is not a recognized diagnosis in science based medicine. Although inconsistent with our understanding of adrenal physiology, the theory is that the adrenal glands "wear out" after a prolonged stress leading to fatigue. There is no evidence or reason to believe this occurs. When the adrenals are damaged or fail in conditions such as addison's disease -- ...Read more
It can but: In your age group, it is more likely to be anemia, low blood pressure, or low blood sugar. Try eating more often, avoiding sweets which can make your sugar drop. Try to drink enough fluids to keep your urine a pale yellow color (if its clear, that's too dilute, drink less) and try to get more protein in your diet. If not better with that in a week or two, see your doctor. ...Read more
I'm told i prob have adrenal fatigue, and high impact workouts are no-no's. What are some good low impact exercises to get me in shape safely?
NOT low-impact but:: With adrenal fatigue avoid aerobic exercise at first; if you feel tired the day after exercise you've overdone it. Do a "body sculpting" program of light calisthenics ; weight lifting, using very low resistance(small weights) ; many repetitions, involving the whole-body. This can be accomplished in exercise classes, with exercise machines, or with free weights. See http://bit.Ly/1ere6h for more. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Tiredness: There are many causes of your symptoms. A failure of your adrenals, Addison's disease, causes fatigue, but this is rare, and unlikely as a cause. The term "Adrenal Fatigue" is popular on the internet, but is mostly a myth. Adrenals either work, or don't work, and you would need an ACTH test to figure that out. ...Read more

What causes adrenal fatigue? Is it when the body has had too many anxiety attacks and stress over time?
Not a medical problm: "Adrenal fatigue" is a non medical term used by holistic doctors to describe a set of common symptoms that many people have who are depressed, anxious, stressed, etc. People who are told of having this usually do not have any problem with their adrenal gland function, despite whatever non approved tests are done (typically a cortisol saliva test) that is described as "abnormal" ...Read more

Can adrenal fatigue cause low grade fever? Are progesterone and estrogen levels related to adrenalin and cortisol?
Dubious diagnosis: "adrenal fatigue" is a pop diagnosis, not an evidence-based one. Since true addison[s isn't a febrile illness, this isn't either. I've wondered if the "subclinical addison's" claims might have something to them, but would urge you not to self-diagnose. The danger of self-diagnosis / treatment is missing another real emotional, situational or physical problem. Your doctor should work your temp up. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
