Can You Use Hair Removal Cream On Your Stomach
Is it safe to use a hair removal cream on my stomach due to black hairs after getting a navel piercing?
Use caution: Protect piercing area with petroleum jelly or similar substance that depilatory can't penetrate. Use caution when applying depilatory around this area. If piercing does get depilatory in it, flush with plenty of water & watch for signs of inflammation/infxn: redness, swelling, heat, pus. Can use aloe vera gel &/or antibiotic ointment. See doc if infxn occurs.
Hair removal is either temporary, like tweezing, waxing or shaving, or permanent, in which the follicles are destroyed by electrolysis or a laser/light system. Very popular these days to reduce the density of hair in an area by laser hair removal. It needs to be repeated in a series to affect as many follicles as ...Read more
I'm conscious about the hair on my stomach and now summer is coming want to feel confident! I was wondering if hair removal cream would be suitable?
Hair: Topical creams may help reduce unwanted hair. If the hairs are dark then a series of laser treatments may help. See a dermatologist to evaluate and offer the best treatment.
I shave before lazor hair removal/get pimples on butt, shoulders, stomach. Which prescription creams? Salictylic acid ok, kenalog (triamcinolone) shots? Baby powder?
Folliculitis tx: It's helpful if shaving is done 3-4 days before laser hair removal. If pustules appear, acne medications may be helpful, such as a benzoyl peroxide wash. There should not be a lot of scrubbing as it may irritate hair follicles further. All benzoyl peroxide must be washed off the skin completely. There are also acne lotions that your doctor can prescribe to help.
OK: Read the instructions first.Get a more detailed answer ›
It is safe: This cream will not be absorbed and will have no effect on your developing baby. You may use it as directed without problems.
Depilatory rash: It is possible that a depilatory (hair removal) cream can cause irritation, an allergic reaction or even burns on delicate mucous membranes. It is also possible that this irritation can lead to a herpes breakout if the person has a genital herpes infection. Please see your dermatologist or ob/gyn for a more definitive diagnosis and treatment.See 2 more doctor answers

No: The skin in the pubic area is too delicate. If you use the normal hair remover cream or wax, it may cause serious irritation and pain increasing the risk of skin infection. There are specialized products for that area. Better yet, have it waxed by at a salon/spa. They can do a better job, have the right products, and can take care of any irritation that may develop.See 1 more doctor answer

Male, I have just used hair removal cream on my scotrum, feeling irritaion, pain on the skin of scotrum. What to do? Are they damaged permanently?
Skin irritation only: I would not recommend using a chemical depilatory cream anywhere near the penis, scrotum or anus. I have seen countless people with chemical burns to these areas over the years. Careful use of a safety razor in these areas is much less likely to cause you problems. There is no effect on the testicles

A few months ago, I used Veet hair removal cream on my face. I've been having weekly pimples since then, is it because of veet? How can I fix this?
Ingrown Hairs: Once you either shave or use a depilatory like Veet, as the hair grows back you can have this problem. There is unfortunately not much you can do to prevent this. Just be sure to keep the area clean and dry. Don't pick, this could introduce an infection into the area.See 1 more doctor answer
